India became the fourth team to qualify for the semifinals of Women's World Cup 2025 following their 53-run win against New Zealand in Navi Mumbai on Friday.
With the defeat, New Zealand’s World Cup campaign ended. All four semifinal spots have been clinched, with Australia, South Africa and England having qualified earlier in the tournament.
However, the semifinal match-ups are still to be decided as all teams have one match each. India's opponent in the semifinal will depend upon the result of the Australia vs South Africa match that will take place on Saturday. The winner of that match will face India in the semifinal.
The first semi-final will be played on October 29 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, while the second final-four contest will be hosted at Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai the day after.
