Prince Harry appeared to show "disassociation" in a new video shared by Meghan Markle over the weekend, a body language expert has said. Just days ago, the Duchess of Sussex uploaded a video onto her Instagram stories of the couple, alongside Meghan's friend, Kelly McKee Zajfen, watching the World Series baseball competition from their home cinema in Montecito.
In the video, Meghan can be seen running to hug her husband, who is sat on one of the recliner sofas, before jumping up and down with her friend. It is believed they were celebrating because the team they support - Los Angeles Dodgers - won, while Harry's favoured team lost.
Many people have taken to social media to discuss the video, which some believe is staged, with one body language expert telling Express.co.uk that Harry appears to show "levels of disassociation" in the video that look like "a sulk".
Body language expert Judi James told Express.co.uk: "Where does Meghan come from in this oddly grainy monochrome video? She tiptoes in from the side with her back hunched to throw her arms around her husband's neck in what looks like a ritual that combines winner's glee with an apology to the loser before going back to perform a dance of excitement with her friend in the next recliner.
"Everyone has a different version of a sporting celebratory ritual, but we only really see Meghan's here at what looks like the after-burn point. Usually there will be an explosion of delight that involves instant air-leaping and with muscles clenched tight as the body language tends to involve some fake-fight responses like punching the air and roaring.
"Instead, Meghan turns to jump about and hug her friend with some high-pitched squealing.
"Harry's team are said to have lost but his body language suggests levels of disassociation here that looks almost like a sulk."
She continued: "He retains his reclined position, keeping his eyes on the screen as though hoping for a different result.
"And although he eventually grins at his wife, his hand seems to come up in a barrier over a wry smile, suggesting he's not going to get up and join in the fun regardless to look like a good loser, even though he knows he's being filmed."
It is believed the video was taken in Harry and Meghan'scinema at their Montecito home, which they brought after quitting royal life and moving to America in 2020.
The couple's children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, three, did not appear in the video.
