One Strictly Come Dancing duo had fans rushing to support them as they lifted the Glitterball trophy together - before one of them was forced to leave the country. Dianne Buswell and Stefan Dennis met up one last time after Stefan withdrew from the BBC dance competition due to injury, just before he was set to fly back to his native Australia.
Wearing a cream blouse and grey slacks, Dianne looked frazzled as the pair posed for a snap together - with Stefan pretending to be stealing it from her grasp. Stefan rocked a navy blue jumper and black jeans for the casual post - and had a fierce expression on his face. Between them was Dianne's trophy from her win alongside Chris McCausland last year.
Dianne wrote on Instagram: "Had this guy knock on our door yesterday, I let him in, we ate some cake, I made him a terrible coffee and then I showed him how small the Glitterball really is and it made him feel better about not being able to continue in the competition (joking!)
"I love my Glitterball. Safe travels back to Oz Steffo, say hi to the kangaroos for me!"
Stefan was quick to reply to the post, telling Dianne: "Nearly got it out of your grasp. Fab day with you guys. Gonna miss you but I'll see you in a month... for a better cup of coffee. Love you girl."
Their co-stars also joined in the emotional announcement, with Amy Dowden writing: "Love this!"
Vicky Pattison wrote: "Love you two! And miss Stefan loads."
One fan penned: "Awww what a team! Love you both. Wishing you safe travels Steffo, we will miss you. In all seriousness we already do."
"Love this, safe travel Stefan!" somebody else echoed.
