Claudia Winkleman is back on our screens for another season of The Traitors, only this time, there's a twist. For the first time in the UK version of the series, celebrities are entering the iconic Manor House to see whether the Faithful or the Traitors will come out on top. But let's be honest, while the drama keeps us hooked every week, it's Claudia's effortlessly chic, gothic-inspired outfits that steal the show for me year after year.
Already, she's set the tone with a show-stopping cape coat from Luxury Family Affair (though it'll set you back a whopping £765), paired with luxurious knee-high leather boots from Givenchy (you're looking at over a grand for those).
But, it's also got me reminiscing about some of my all-time favourite Claudia looks from previous seasons, and one that really stands out is the long kilt she wore last season. This season, calf-length kilts are having a bit of a moment. From H&M to Boden, they're popping up all over the high street, and thankfully, at a range of price points to suit every budget.
Claudia's original kilt from last season was by the brand Le Kilt. It's a modern take on the classic Scottish style-midi-length, in a grey pattern, finished with black leather buckles. Sadly, her exact one is now sold out, and similar styles from Le Kilt start at upwards of £500.
But, if you're looking to channel Claudia's look without breaking the bank, I've spotted a few high street alternatives that are available right now. They've got the same vibe and will pair perfectly with chunky knits and boots this autumn and winter.

If you're a fan of the checked pattern (a lovely nod to the traditional Scottish kilt), the length, and the pleated details on Claudia's kilt, then this £99 midi skirt from Nobody's Child is a great alternative. While the colour palette is a little different to Claudia's grey version, this one features a classic tartan check in warm, earthy tones of browns and greens, but still very much the same vibe.
Claudia's kilt has statement buckle details, but this skirt is a little more understated. It has a subtle tie at the waist and a flattering side slit.
Unlike the TV host's £550 wool kilt (hence the hefty price tag), this one is made from a blend of recycled polyester, viscose, and elastane. Not only does that make it a more affordable choice, but it also means it's machine washable, so no need to trek to the dry cleaners.
It comes in sizes four through to 18, though one thing to point out is that it's only available in one length. So, if you're on the petite side (like me, at 5'2"), it might come up a little long. I'd recommend grabbing a tape measure and checking the length before buying, especially since Nobody's Child does charge for returns.
If you're a new customer, you can save 15% with the code HELLO15, which brings the price down to £84.15.
If you love Claudia's kilt skirt's style and cut but are not too fussed about the pattern, Boden's Josephine Kilt is a lovely option (and one of my personal favourites). I'm especially into the forest green shade, which feels just right for the season. And since it's a solid block colour, it's a great choice if you prefer something a little more neutral and versatile.
Much like Claudia's, it has that flattering midi length and classic pleats, along with two side buckles for that traditional kilt feel (though unlike Claudia's, these aren't made from leather). This one also sits on the waist rather than being high-waisted.
The fabric is a mix of polyester, viscose, and elastane, so it's got a nice bit of structure and stretch. However, it's worth noting that the skirt is dry-clean only, so you'll want to factor in the cost of cleaning.
One of the great things about the Boden kilt is that it comes in a range of lengths, including petite, regular and tall(although the latter is currently sold out)
It's definitely one of the pricier options at £149, but if you're a new Boden customer, you can save 15% with the code WXVK, bringing it down to £126.35.

One of the more affordable options that gives off a similar vibe, but with a few unique differences, is this belted pleated skirt from H&M. It mimics the pleated cut of Claudia's skirt and has a subtle checked pattern, this time in rich brown tones (a colour palette that seems to be everywhere during the autumn months).
Instead of Claudia's buckle detailing, this skirt has a belt with silver eyelets that makes a bit of a statement without going over the top. I personally love the belt for a bit of extra edge, but if it's not your thing, it's removable.
The skirt falls to calf-length, but it's around 20cm longer than Claudia's Le Kilt skirt, coming in at 87cm in length. Which is something to note if, like me, you're on the shorter side or prefer a higher hemline.
It's made from polyester and viscose rather than wool, which helps keep the price down. But at just £69.99, it's a budget-friendly alternative that still has a chic feel.
Sizing runs from 4 through to 22, although be warned, some sizes are already selling out, and H&M hasn't confirmed whether it'll be restocked. That said, since it's part of their autumn/winter 2025 collection, I've got a hunch we might see another drop before the season's over.
According to customer reviews, it's true to size, and the length has been praised for being "spot on".
