Who is Tom Daley's husband? Celebrity Traitors star's marriage and life with sons

Tom Daley is a renowned diver and one of the stars currently taking part in Celebrity Traitors.

But when he's not in the public eye he leads a quiet family life with his husband Dustin Lance Black and their two children.

The 31-year-old diving star has been married since 2017 and became a father for the first time in the following year, and he has always been open about the importance of his family life, reports the Mirror.

"I used to define myself by diving," Tom was quoted by the Mirror as saying in 2021. "If I dived well it reflected on me as a person. Now I'm first and foremost a father and husband."So who is Tom's spouse?

In December 2013, Tom publicly came out to his fans via a YouTube video, sharing that his "whole world changed" when he fell in love with a man.

He began dating Dustin, a screenwriter, director, and producer known for films such as Milk and J Edgar.

Earlier this year, Tom told The Guardian that they met at a dinner in 2013 and found they had much in common.

"He had just lost his brother; I'd lost my dad," he said of Dustin, who is nearly 20 years his senior.

"He had just won his Oscar; I had just won an Olympic medal. It was the first time I could complain about success to somebody who knew I wasn't really complaining about success."

Their engagement was announced in The Times in October 2015.

The couple then exchanged vows in 2017 at Dartmoor National Park, with Tom sharing the joyous news on Instagram: "On 6th May 2017, I married the love of my life, @dlanceblack."

In 2018, the pair welcomed their first son, Robert 'Robbie' Ray, born via a surrogate. His name honours Tom's late father Robert, who passed away in 2011.

Their second son, Phoenix, was born in 2023, also through surrogacy.

The following year, Tom announced his retirement from professional diving after the 2024 Summer Olympics.

In an emotional interview with the BBC, he confessed: "It's hard to talk about, it's emotional... I want to be with my family."
