Shillong: The Niti Aayog, in collaboration with the Meghalaya govt, hosted a workshop on ‘Hill Regions Planning Initiative’ at the Courtyard by Marriott, on Monday, to create a roadmap for   “Developing Sustainable, Climate-Resilient, and Economically Vibrant Hill Cities.”   
   
Sanbor Shullai, minister for arts and culture, said despite hill cities being blessed with natural wealth and cultural vibrancy, they face challenges of terrain, infrastructure, and climate vulnerability. He called for a new model of development that balances economic growth with environmental protection.
